Causes of Linen Damage Caused by Water Extraction Press in Laundry Plant Part2

In addition to the unreasonable press procedure setting, the structure of the hardware and equipment will also affect the damage rate of linen. In this article, we continue to analyze for you.

Hardware

The water extraction press is composed of: frame structure, hydraulic system, cylinder piston, water sac, press basket, pressure control detection, water sac pressure induction protection, and other components. A water extraction press is a device with a large force and high frequency of action in the entire tunnel washer system. As a result, the structure and hardware of the press are very important, mainly the following points:

High Strength Requirements of the Entire Machine Structure

If strength is insufficient, as long as there is one mm deformation of the pressurized frame, the main oil cylinder piston and water sac below will put uneven pressure on the linen, causing linen damage.

The Stability of the Hydraulic System and the Entire Control Element

❑ The hydraulic valve includes the pressure control valve, flow control valve, and direction control valve.

Pressure control valves include overflow valves (safety valves), relief valves, sequence valves, pressure relays, etc.

 2

Flow control valves include throttle valves, adjusting valves, diverting and collecting valves, etc.

Direction control valves include check valves, hydraulic control check valves, shuttle valves, reversing valves, etc.

According to different control methods, hydraulic valves can be divided into switch-type control valves, fixed-value control valves, and proportional control valves.

❑ Auxiliary components include the fuel tank, oil filter, cooler, heater, accumulator, tubing and fittings, sealing ring, quick change fittings, high-pressure ball valve, hose assembly, pressure gauge, oil level gauge, oil temperature gauge, etc.

In fact, every control element of the hydraulic system has high requirements for the output of pressure. If there is a problem with the stability of these components, the output pressure and our linen safety pressure requirements are inconsistent, then it will cause insufficient pressure, leading to high moisture content. In addition, the overpressure will also cause damage to the linen.

Unreasonable Press Design and Manufacturing Process

❑ The drop of the tunnel washer exit from the bottom of the press basket

If the drop of the tunnel washer exit from the bottom of the press basket is more than 1 meter, the linen will have a long impact on the press water basket. In this condition, the press water basket easily deforms if its strength is not enough.

Once the press basket is deformed, the water sac will press down differently from the press basket, which will cause the linen to get caught in the gap between the water sac and the press basket. Under high pressure, it will break. Even severe damage will be done to the water sac and the entire system. This is why many water sacs only last a few months or a year.

4

❑ Unreasonable press feed port design

In the condition of unreasonable press feed port design, the linen is not smooth when entering the press basket, and it does not completely enter the basket but remains at the intersection of the press box slope and the press basket. It’s not detectable in some places. At this time, the water sac directly causes the linen to be torn and torn, which is also one of the reasons for damage.

❑ Unreasonable drainage design

If the drainage design is not reasonable, too much water will be in the press basket and can not be discharged quickly, which is also the main reason for the damage to the linen.

Conclusion

Through the above, we believe that everyone has understood the reasons for the damage caused by the press. There are many reasons for the damage to linen: linen service life is too long, high density, press design, quality, etc. Each situation requires a different approach. We can not blindly turn down the pressure of the press as the main means to solve the problem, which goes against the essential meaning of using the press to achieve a high dehydration rate.
