If the linen turns yellow, gray, or stiff, it will have a bad impact on the customer’s experience. The problem of dull and hard linen caused by different reasons requires different treatment methods. Here, we continue to share relevant experiences with you all.
Linen Turns Green or Dark after Washing
● Linen turns green or dark due to the low-quality brighteners in the detergents. The low-quality detergent is immersed in the linen, and it’s hard to remove, so as to make the linen lose its original whiteness.
● When there is such a situation, it is suggested to rewash the linen and reduce the amount of detergents and oxidants.
● If there is no improvement, it is suggested to change the detergents and try again.
Excessive Accumulation of Softener on the Towel
● Many softeners are silicone oil products themselves. When these softeners touch towels, there will be residues. Moreover, when combined with brighteners, they will settle on the towels. Some laundry plants use bad industrial softener flakes. They may be harder to remove after long-term use and make the towels hard.
● The softener with a water-soluble formula should be chosen.
● If there is already a hardening phenomenon, you can wash it with water at around 80℃ and an emulsifier.
● It is not suggested to pursue When washing towels, do not blindly pursue softness. Fluffy and soft towels are the ones with high comfort in use. You should choose a good softener and add it according to the amount required by the softener manufacturer. During the washing process, pay attention to choosing the standard washing process and the drying procedure to avoid stiffness caused by excessive drying.
The Darkness and Stiffness Due to the Adhesion of Lint and Hairballs
● The appearance of pilling on the towels is due to the usage of strong acid and strong alkaline in the washing process, insufficient main wash time, or the overloading of industrial washing machines.
● Choosing neutral detergents and doing the main wash completely according to the requirements can reduce such conditions.
● If the towel contains a high amount of polyester fiber, such a situation will more easily occur because such towels are prone to generating static electricity and thus attracting dust and lint. As a result, fabric softener should be used appropriately to reduce static electricity. However, it should be noted that the pH value of fabric softener needs to be reduced to 7 to achieve the best effect.
Above are some reasons for the linen turning gray, yellow, and stiff, and corresponding solutions.
