In many parts of the world, passenger numbers and industry revenues have exceeded pre-pandemic levels. With further growth in market demand, the global tourism industry is expected to continue its rapid growth in 2025.”
According to United Nations Tourism Organization, the number of international tourists in 2025 is expected to achieve a year-on-year growth of 3% to 5%. The performance of the Asia-Pacific region is particularly promising. But at the same time, the agency also said that the weak global economic development and continued geopolitical tensions have become the biggest risks limiting the sustainable development of global tourism. In addition, factors such as rising energy prices, frequent extreme weather and insufficient number of industry workers will also have a negative impact on the overall development of the industry. Relevant experts said that how to achieve a more balanced and sustainable development of the industry in the context of increasing uncertainties in the future is the focus of attention of all parties.
