● Wrong mixing of the detergents
The cleaning materials in the laundry factory are all chemical products, which require people to have knowledge about the cleaning agents. Otherwise, problems like mixed use of detergents and wrong addition of detergent may occur, which can cause the result as well.
Corrosive Chemicals
Among all kinds of cleaning agents used in hotels, some are corrosive. Especially, some strongly acidic cleaning agents have a big impact on the cotton textiles. Machines and Human Factors
● If there are burrs on the inner drum of the washing machines, or if some parts are not smooth. It may cause the linen to be scratched or worn. The first symptom is yarn pulling or yarn breaking. Then small holes appear and gradually expand.
● The sorting task before washing is not done carefully. Some sharp or hard objects mix in the linen, which cause damage during the washing.
● When loading or unloading the linen before or after washing (transportation vehicle, washing machine, dryer), excessive force or contact with sharp objects may puncture or snag the linen.
● A too-long high dehydration duration may have a mechanism to tear the linen. Too short a rinsing time or insufficient rinsing time causes the residual detergents to damage the linen.
● The quality of linen itself and the storage environment. The linen must be stored away from moisture or dampness. The warehouse must be ventilated, and the edges of the warehouse shelves should be smooth. Also, the linen room should be protected from pests and rodents.
