If you are running a washing factory or in charge of linen washing, you may have experienced this issue with your ironing machine. But fear not, there are solutions to improve the ironing results and keep your linens looking crisp and professional.
If your roller ironer suddenly has poor ironing results during use, such as obvious vertical lines and wrinkles, follow my steps to check and you will be able to find out where the problem lies.
First, we start with the linen washing process to investigate. The poor ironing effect may be related to these factors:
The moisture content of linen is too high, which will greatly affect the quality and efficiency of ironing. If there is any obvious symptom, you need to check whether there is a problem with the dehydration capacity of your press or industrial washer-extractor.
Check whether the linen is not rinsed completely and contains residual alkali.
Check whether excessive acid is used when washing linen. Excessive detergent residue on the linen will affect the ironing quality. if you don’t find any problems during washing, we will go to the ironing machines for inspection.
Check whether there are small guide belts wrapped around the drying drum. CLM's roller ironing machine is only designed with small indicator belts on the front two rollers to eliminate traces of small guide belts as much as possible and improve the ironing quality.
Check whether the ironing belt is severely worn or missing.
Check the surface of the drying cylinder to see if there is residual chemical scale and rust. Because the drying cylinders are all carbon steel structures, they will be very easy to rust if they are not treated with anti-rust grinding like CLM’s drying cylinders. See our Drying cylinder! This last point is easily overlooked. Check whether the ironing machine is leveled when installed. If there is no leveling during installation, there will always be one side that is too stressed, and the cloth guide rollers and cloth guide belts will not run parallel, causing the folding of the linen. The quality will be affected, and there may be irregularities on both sides.
Through the above series of inspection steps, you can promptly discover and solve problems that may arise during the factory washing and ironing process, to improve the ironing effect and keep your bedding fresh and professional.
